  • Journalism and Strategic Communication Diploma ​

    The Diploma in Journalism and Strategic Communication offers a set of courses that encapsulate key themes and topics in today’s world of digital media. By combining a certificate in Journalism to another in Strategic Communication, this program aims to create a well-rounded understanding of the requirements, skills, techniques and demands in the field of media at large; from mundane reporting and in-depth storytelling in print, online, and televised media to communication strategies and campaign tactics in political and social organizations as well as corporate entities. This program provides its students with a theoretical and practical baggage through its academics, guest speakers and engaging exercises to ensure a full understanding of its course materials and their forms of application in the real world.

    This certificate offers a comprehensive insight into the theories and practices of journalism in the digital era. Its courses address a variety of areas including media law, ethics of reporting, digital storytelling, visual media production, investigative journalism, mobile reporting, cyber activism, in addition to other relevant fields in modern journalism. The certificate’s program aims to advance the participants’ skills and capabilities when reporting on multimedia platforms.

  • Strategic Communication Certificate​

    This certificate provides an overview of strategic communication skills and requirements in traditional media, social media, as well as corporate sector institutions. The courses address topics that range from interpersonal communication skills, public speaking, public relations, campaigning, image production, branding, in addition to variety of advertising and marketing techniques. The certificate aims to boost the participants’ capabilities in terms of constructing, packaging, promoting and selling ideas in competitive marketplaces.

  • Event Planning Non-Credit Course | 36 Hrs

    CEVP 101 - This course is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills an event planner should acquire. It focuses on the fundamentals of event planning, the communication process, and event branding and marketing. The course includes organizing and planning actual events taking place on AUB campus.​

  • Online Community Management Non-Credit Course | 25 Hrs

    CTIP 102 - ​This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage their online community in order to increase visibility and market share. It focuses on online visual identity, etiquettes, content research and creation, and best online practices of customer relations and public relations. Students will be trained to develop online marketing strategies, campaigns, and advertisements; derive analytics and metrics and build on them for best online results and client-facing reports; and advance digital engagement strategies across stakeholders.
